FASHION & DESIGN — A JOURNEY THROUGH THE ARCHIVES OF ITALIAN FASHION

From Italian textile graphics to the Haute Couture collection by UNICA

For UNICA, fashion and design share the same pursuit: transforming beauty into form, matter and identity.

Vanessa Stella has always looked to fashion as a source of inspiration: silhouettes, drapery, the movement of fabrics, embroidery, colour and surfaces become starting points for creating new forms for space.

The journey towards Haute Couture began through the collaboration with FFRI – Fondazione Fashion Research Italy and the discovery of its extraordinary heritage of Italian textile graphics.

Drawings, patterns, colours and compositions reveal the creativity that precedes fabric and garments, showing how a line can become a language of its own.

Through FFRI, UNICA also had the opportunity to meet Nicoletta Lanati, Lucia Boggia, Carlo Pezzoni and Giuseppe Spadacini, authors of graphics for Italian haute couture, who opened their studios and shared their works, archives and creative visions.

An encounter with one of the most fascinating expressions of Made in Italy: the ability to transform drawing into culture, colour into identity and surface into emotion.

From this research, Haute Couture was born, reinterpreting the language of fashion through the distinctive vision of UNICA.

Surfaces evoke fabrics.
Forms recall drapery.
Colour takes centre stage.
Furniture is dressed like haute couture.

Not a reproduction of fashion, but its contemporary reinterpretation within space.

As in couture, every element is shaped through the pursuit of form, detail, balance and uniqueness, transforming furniture into a presence capable of expressing character and individuality.

From textile graphics to form.
From drawing to space.
From fashion to the art of living.

UNICA – Art for Your Space
Art. Matter. Beauty.

A contemporary vision rooted in Italian heritage.
