Introducing SERPENTINE, the new sofa designed by Vanessa Stella, designer and founder of Unica – art for your space, conceived for an exclusive mountain penthouse where architecture, material and colour come together in a contemporary balance.
A striking sculptural element, designed not simply to furnish the space, but to create a new way of experiencing the interior.
The intense golden yellow upholstery brings light and warmth into the penthouse, creating a dialogue with the honey-toned blond oak wall panelling, the caramel-coloured flooring and the natural light flowing through the large openings.
A deliberately bold colour choice, transforming the sofa into the visual focal point of the interior, while the warmth of the oak panelling creates a natural and sophisticated balance with the intensity of the colour.
What truly defines SERPENTINE are its movable backrests. Freely positioned and dynamically arranged, they create a sweeping, sinuous line that flows across the sofa, tracing the shape of an S.
An S that is more than simply a shape: it is a signature.
“I wanted the sofa to carry something personal, almost like a signature. The S emerged from my search for a fluid form, capable of adapting to different ways of living and interacting, while also becoming immediately recognisable. It is the initial of my name, but above all, it is a gesture: a line that moves through space.”

The modularity of the backrests allows the configuration of the sofa to be continuously transformed, creating more intimate areas or more open spaces for conversation and conviviality. The result is a flexible domestic landscape, designed to follow the people who inhabit it, rather than the other way around.
The decorative cushions, characterised by intense colours and refined patterns, introduce a more emotional dimension. Red, blue, green, gold and natural tones are layered against the golden yellow upholstery, creating a warm and sophisticated composition that sits perfectly within the surrounding Alpine atmosphere.

The honey-toned blond oak maintains a connection with nature and with the architecture of the mountains, while the golden yellow introduces a luminous, contemporary note. The cushions add a freer, almost painterly element, making every composition unique.”
